About

Celestine Kibe Kergoët

Celeste is a poet, writer and multimedia artist originally from Providence, Rhode Island. She now lives in San Cristobal De Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, where she explores weaving between the natural and hyper-natural textural fields of language, sound, voice, image, earth, and space.

Her works centers around fractured identity, somatic memory and processes of loss and grieving, both in community and in private ceremony.  She draws from her unique experience of being born as an autistic woman into a labor trafficking organization to advocate for inclusion, protection and fair pay for working neurodivergent creatives.
Celeste graduated from Rhode Island College in 2011, where she completed an Honors thesis in the joint departments of graphic design and art history, culminating in the book Digital Smog.

She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachlor’s degree in studio art, as well as completing various certifications in the healing modalities of Herbal Medicine (Arborvitae, 3 yrs), past life regression (Laughing Cherub, 100 hrs), ecoconstruction (Earthship biotecture, 2 mo) and Thanatology (El Mensaje Del Colibri, 100 hrs).

Since 2016, she has been offering freelance services in design, writing, consulting, astrology and creative direction.
